Ultrasound pregnancy scanning in Cattle takes the guess work out for producers. Cows and Heifers can be scanned from 32 days after joining to identify those in calf and dry cows.

Many producers in the Western Division join all year round, scanning at different times during the year allows those producers the options of selling their dry cows when seasons are hard or by making a few extra dollars in the sale yards selling cows in calf. (We provide red and blue tags for producers who wish to identify stage of pregnancy when selling cows in calf.) 

Those producers who have set joining’s we provide a valuable tool to assist those producers to determine the most fertile cows and heifers to assist in increasing profit margins. Ageing of the foetus can also assist producers to identify cows and heifers requiring specific husbandry needs that will assist in calf survival rates and cow condition for re-joining.
